Of course, I am realizing that I don't know how to do all I want to do with a site so it will be a learning experience. This site here won't be going anywhere, but I did move all the posts over to the new site. Some of the formatting didn't transfer right but their there. Come along and enjoy the ride.

Woot! I hit the trifecta!

So after I made this pos t a person named Le Penseur Islamique posted that I hit the "trifecta of hate"! This all started after I said this in defense of My Pet Jawa and Admiral Bluto and of course an tongue-in-cheek attempt to get banned in India.

Islamique (is that a muslim perfume?) said

The odious bloggers at Jawa Report seem to have spoken too soon about the Indian government ban. The vile Dread Pundit Bluto has been forced to dash their vain hopes of escape from just punishment.

With my response being:

Ahoy scurvy dogs. Consider this a shot across your bow, the next one will land midship. Jawa and Admiral Bluto are excercising the rights of Free Speech to alert the world of the hateful cult of Allah. For 1300 years Islam has been trying to take over the world and impose Sharia and get the right to molest children like Mohammed did with his child bride, what makes you think you can now?

Sticking with my membership in the Pirate Armada, and defense of the Admiral's right to free speech I went with a more pirate motiff. That defense of course led to my hitting the "trifecta" and Islamique said:

I accuse him of three things:
1. Misrepresenting the nature of Islam, a peaceful religion.
2. Resorting to the ancient, xenophobic conspiracy theory that Muslims are trying to take over the world. A scurrilous charge which is also levelled against Jews by all kinds of anti-Semites.
3. Misrepresenting the traditions about the Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and distorting Islamic religious custom and tradition in general. A tactic also used by anti-Semites against Jews and the Talmud.

Those of you who come here and know me irl know that I really don't like not to respond to things of this nature...so of course I had to fire back (which I warned him I would do in my original comment) with this:

You accuse me? No sirrah I accuse the radical elements of Islam, specificially the Shia muslims who kill the Sunni’s in Iraq. Islam is not a peaceful religion as practiced by a growing number of Muslims. Explain to me these things.
1) The death of over 3000 people in America on 9-11
2) The murders of innocents on the transit systems in Spain, Britain and India.
3) That just for the week of 7/9 to 7/15 that the “religion of peace” accounted for the deaths of 589 people and the wounding of 1178 people around the world as reported at thereligionofpeace.com.
4) Mohammed’s child bride. Does this site Sirrah, promote or condemn the fact that Mohammed was a child molester who married at 6 and consumated the marriage with a 9 year old child?
5) The Islamic belief that Sharia should be the law of the world?
6) The right of the jews to exist in Israel? That land was Israel’s in the time of Abraham, 4000 years before Mohammed.
7) Freedom of speech, do you support the basic right of people to have this freedom?
Sirrah, do you condem or congratulate those who make their points by the attacking of women and children. Do you condemn when Islamic Jihadists use women and children as shields? The silence of moderate muslims is deafening. The faces of Islam are Ahmedinejad, Nasrallah, Bin Laden, Zarqawi etc. Perception is often reality, if you condemn them, then take a stand and say so, if you agree with them, then take a stand and do so. Silence gives the impression of acceptance, evil wins when good pirates stand by and do nothing and I will not do that

Of course I am eagerly awaiting this, the cannons are loaded, the wicks are ready to be lit and there will be a broadsides fired. 230 years ago the Founding Fathers refused to back down against tyranny. Seems the Indian's, no not the ones with the fancy casinos but rather the ones who seem to think censorship will stop their transit system from going BOOM are banning websites. There are 17 websites that are banned from Indian ISP's now, most of them are banned due to the willingness to stand up to the International Islamic Jihad going on against civilization right now.
One of my favorite sites, The Jawa Report is among the banned, and the leader of the Pirate Armada the scourge of Kos, the terror of the internet seas, the infamous Dread Pundit Bluto has declared a blogihad on them for it. This raises 3 questions to me. 1) Why is Jawa only #2? Dammit the man works hard and if you're going to ban him at least make him the #1 banned site. 2) What can I do to get banned in India? 3) Is the Indian government so in fear of their muslim population that they want to practice the ostrich defense?
I want to look at questions 2 and 3. Not much can be done about question one, except for The Jawa Report to keep chipping away at the brick wall of stupidity that exists among the masses today. As to why I am not banned, well for a brief moment I was, all of blogspot was. Now it's just a few blogspot bloggers that are banned and I feel left out. Where the hell is the ACLU to defend my right to be banned, are they too busy defending NAMBLA and trying to destroy Christianity?
Now while I haven't done anything as bad as this but it's not for lack of trying but rather time and creativity. I have done this audio post, and this post singing about Zarqawi, I also said this in a recent reprint of an old post I made in may.

Yep, that's what I am going to do. That should take care of question 2 and get me banned, if not I can think of a few more things.
As to questions 3. The Indian Government is falling prey to the same school of thought (or lack thereof) that has been prevalent in the EU for sometime. This can lead to nowhere good. You see Islam does not tolerate other religions and well India is about 80% Hindu and 14% Islam with a mix of a bunch of other things. 14% sounds about exactly where Islam wants to be to start the jihadist takeover. You see, they always want to have enough to do terrorist operations, but never enough for pitched battles. They also can easily run to Pakistan to hide which is something terrorists love to do..lob some bombs and run like hell, preferably to a civilian population center. India also has to deal with the Kashmir situation. Kashmir is an area that has been under dispute between India and Pakistan for sometime. This is perfect for the jihadist..a place of some racial strife to drive the wedge. India's response to this makes perfect sense. Ban bloggers! They are pissing off muslims and we might lose more of our trains! Vishnu no! How will we continue our exportation of cab drivers and Dunkin Donut's owners if we do not have our trains running? For a nation that is such a hub of technology it's pretty damn stupid at times. If you want to help out the blogosphere contact the Indian Embassy here and either ask them to ban me or release the ban on these 17 bloggers!

Back in the beginning of June I wrote a post on Hugo Chavez and some things going on in South America that we should be worried about here in America. Here's the link to that post. I saw this article and wanted to just post an update on Hugo and what he's doing.

This is especially concerning with Presidential elections coming up and America's focus turned towards North Korea and the middle east. This is an area along with Somalia that we must not lose focus on. We are in a world war that has many fronts.

I think what really burns me up is that you never see the MSM talk about this guys wacky leanings or beliefs? It's all "negotiations continue with Iran" and not "The world continues therapy sessions for the wack job out in the dessert". We need to realize the oceans doesn't protect us anymore and we need to break out the STFU stick on some people. We can surely tolerate wackjobs leading countries..but cmon folks, can we tolerate them having nukes too?

Yeah, was a touch long winded then, but thought all the links needed to be in there for background info. Now what we are seeing is more proof that Ahmedinejad's religous beliefs are directly guiding much of the chaos going on today. Look at this post from Atlas of AtlasShrugs (one of the babes of the blogosphere imo).

President Ahmadinejad has refused so far to respond to proposals from the U.S., EU, Russia and China on the UN Security Council to cease Iran's relentless quest for nuclear enrichment and weapons development program until August 22nd. Why August 22nd? Because August 22nd, coincides with the Islamic date of Rajab 28, the day the great Salah El-Din conquered Jerusalem.
Now I don't know the Islamic calendar, so I hope for minds wiser then mine to confirm that, but it does make sense to me. Utilize Occam's Razor (Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily) here, and follow the most direct line of thought. Also look at this post by Iraq The Model (excellent blog from an Iraq viewpoint) about Sadr and what is going on in Iraq right now.

I'm not going to claim I know exactly what Hizbollah's or Hamas's hidden motives are because I don't live there but I know about those of the regime in Iran and its arm in Iraq; both Ahmedinejad and Sadr are devout believers in the 'Savior Imam' of Shia Islam who is the 12th grandson of prophet Mohammed, also known by the name 'Imam Mehdi' hence the name of Sadr's militias 'the Mehdi Army'.

I think more of the world needs to understand what we are dealing with in Iran. There has to be a shift in diplomatic strategy and negotiations. I hope that the State Department is fully aware of not only Ahmedinejad's religous beliefs but the dates that go with it and who else is also a believer in that strain of Islam.

Hezbollah, Israel etc

Ok, so I've been glued to watching as much news as possible the last few days. Trying to stay constantly updated on what's going on in Israel, not only because I have family there (south of Tel-Aviv) but because I really think this is a chess game between America and Ahmadinejad. I think the rest of the major players are seeing this also, especially the other sects of Islam (Sunni, Wahhabi's), more secular muslims, the EU and Russia. I think it's important to note, that North Korea is watching intently also.
Go back to just before the IDF Lebanon jackhammer operation started and what was going on? You had the NoKor's shooting missles, and Israel slapping the Palestinians around for their latest aggressions. There also was an upcoming G8 meeting to discuss a unified approach to Iran. This was not something that Iran really wanted to happen, so Iran through Syria, had Hezbollah do a little "attention getting". I think at this point, it's important to remember that Israel really didn't want to go back into Lebanon, at all. They went down that road before and it wasn't something they wanted to do again. Iran knew this, and history of the last 6 years pretty much backed it up between their pulling out of there 6 years ago and the fact that recently (Shalit situation, not withstanding), they've had a policy of compromise and not retaliation. This time was different though.
My personal opinion, is that Ohlmert called the White House and asked Bush what he wanted done, realizing that the hand of Iran and Syria were behind it and knowing that there was a large consensus about the growing potential threat of a nuclear Iran. Rather then pushing "restraint" like so many times before (by Bush and previous Presidents), it appears that Bush said have at 'em. The timing of this is funny, since Time magazine just came out with a story about the end of "cowboy diplomacy".
To put it in chess terms, the King (Iran) and Queen (Syria) sent their pawn (hezbollah) out into the middle of the chessboard with very little protection, expecting them to hold the middle (attention of the world) for just a short time. Bush realizing this decided to use his Knight (Israel, they can't be called anyone's pawn, not with the 4th largest military in the world) to smash the pawn and a few other pawns. They also succesfully took over the center of the board. Here's where I think you see the rest of the world deciding to let this play out. Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Jordan condemned Hezbollah attacks (not mentioning them by name, but you got their point). Russia and even France signed onto the G8 statement condemning Hezbollah's attacks, demanding the release of the Israeli soldiers, the right of Israel to defend itself, AND the enforcement of UN resolution 1559.
It seems to me, that Israel has been told "we got your back, just don't hit Syria or Iran yet". Chess terms, don't send your knight too deep into enemy territory. What will be important is this, will Israel (knight) be given the time to eliminate/disarm Hezbollah and Hamas (pawns). There are also a few other interesting points here. The government of Lebanon has had 6 years to disarm Hezbollah, but hasn't. Could this be a reminder to other nations that passively allow terrorist groups to operate there that is or can be an accountability for it? In addition, if Israel is given time, this could seriously weaken the standing of Iran in the muslim world. Right now the Sunni's and Wahabbi's are watching. IF Bush and Ohlmert can "clear the field of pawns" it will send a message that Iran is not the "middle eastern power" they claim to be. North Korea is watching also, gauging the world's resolve and thinking about how Japan could be the next knight America uses. The chess player in Iran, has subtly threatened to use some of his other pawn's, the Iranian based Hezbollah.

Olmert address the Knesset, what he didn't say and should of

Ok, been trying to stay away from the Israel-rest of the middle east conflict but it's startying to really piss me off. Not the coverage, which I have found to be mostly on the side of the Israeli's for once, not at the ridiculous calls for restraint, but rather at something that I think is being left out of the terms of a cease fire. That is the recognition of Israel.
What I have been seeing the most of is Olmert saying 3 conditions must be met for a cease fire:

Return of all kidnapped soldiers.
Stopping of rocket fire from southern lebanon
UN resolution 1559 being enforced. That's the one with the disarming of Hezbollah and the Lebanese army on the southern border.

I think there needs to be a 4th. That is that the Lebanese government sit at the table with Israel. There have been calls for the US to be involved in the talks as a proxy. This is bull. Any negotiations between states in the middle east involving Israel, should be conducted with Israel there as a government, acknowledged by all parties. Any "peace" achieved without the other governments of the middle east acknowledging Israel will be short lived and false.
I look at Egypt as an example. There has been not only peace between Egypt and Israel but real commerce that benefits both sides since Egypt's acknowledgement of Israel in the Camp David Accords. Look at Article III of the those accords.

They recognize and will respect each other's sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence;
They recognize and will respect each other's right to live in peace within their secure and recognized boundaries;
They will refrain from the threat or use of force, directly or indirectly, against each other and will settle all disputes between them by peaceful means.

These are important. These should be mandatory in any future peace deals that Israel makes. Look at this part of those accords also.

Each Party undertakes to ensure that acts or threats of belligerency, hostility, or violence do not originate from and are not committed from within its territory, or by any forces subject to its control or by any other forces stationed on its territory , against the population, citizens or property of the other Party. Each Party also undertakes to refrain from organizing, instigating, inciting, assisting or participating in acts or threats of belligerency, hostility, subversion or violence against the other Party, anywhere, and undertakes to ensure that perpetrators of such acts are brought to justice.

This also should be mandatory for any agreement with Lebanon or Palestine. It's about responsibility for actions that occur within your borders. A change in diplomatic actions like this won't happen overnight but if Israel pushes now it can happen. You can see the potential for it there now.
The Saudis and Egypt (among others) have come out and condemn Hizbollah's actions. This is HUGE and it is something that needs to be capitalized on. There is some small signs of a schism between Sunni and Shia muslims and it must be utilized for peace. The Arab nations that have condemned Hizbollah must now be pressured to restore regular diplomatic ties with Israel. The message would be huge and it would also be a postive sign that not all Arab countries are full of terrorists who want to destroy peace. Will it all happen, no of course it won't, at least not now, but if you had asked me last year if Egypt and Saudi Arabia would condemn Hizbollah for attacking Israel I would of laughed at you. So there's always hope.

Israel vs. Lebanon and Pali, and Iran and Syria and ...

Ok, every blogger in the world seems to be writing about the resumption of the Israeli-Arab war. It's not a new war, it's just a continuation of the 1st one. I'm not going to blog about the current event's of the war, you can go Hot Air and check out what Allah's been updating everyone on or go over to the Jblogosphere to see what live bloggers in Israel are saying.

Everyone is saying how the kidnapping of those soldiers are what started this, but I think we have to look deeper. The actuality, as most people know are that the Arab's don't even acknowledge the existence of Israel. That's right folks, Hezbollah and Hamas are fighting apparations. That must be why, in 1967, the Israeli's fought a war on 3 fronts and kicked the collective butts of every military in the region at one time!

Now think about this, the terroristic Arabs, as well as the governments (there is a difference between the 2 albeit small) don't even refer to Israel as Israel, but rather as "Zionist Regime" or something close to that. Egypt might be the only one that even says Israel IS REAL (yeah it's a play on words). Now all these people are running around saying that Israel should "use restraint" or "control their temper" or some such nonsense. However, I have to ask you, should you show restraint and consideration for people who won't acknowledge your basic right to live/breath etc? Israel should just say to it's critics, especially in the middle east "we don't exist, so these bombs aren't real, nothing to see here move along".

Now think about this, if someone you worked with, decidedly that you didn't exist, only referred to you as "that guy in cubicle A", and went around telling everyone that they "wanted to push you and yer cubicle out the window". Then this person started getting people on your floor to start agreeing with them, or at least not condemning them for their statements, would you show "restrain" or would you raise your voice just a little? When they came and started shoving the walls of your cubicle towards the window...would you shove back some? Damn straight you would, yelling the whole that it was your stapler!

Substitute stapler for soldiers, cubicle for land, and window for ocean and you have what Israel is going through. They are not fighting for just their soldiers (though you have to love any country that will raise hell for even one of it's son's), they are fighting for their lives, for the existence. Quite frankly, I think they are just severely pissed off at continously being told they really "don't exist". Methinks Olhmert is saying "Won't acknowledge our existence eh?, then whats causing your bridges to blow up? Wasn't us, we don't exist!". Olhmert claims to be a Menachem Begin disciple, wonder if he's been thinking of some of Begin's speeches. (hat tip to Daniel Pipes for the quotes).

Everyone should ask themselves, "How would we act, if all of our neighbors told us that we did not have a right to simply exist?". When you ask yourselves that question, you get a much better appreciation of what Israel has been going through and an understanding of their response.

99% of the stuff on youtube is inane drivel whirling around in a cesspool of stupidity. However, if you dive into that page, swim pass the whorish blondes (not that I have anything against whorish blondes mind you), dive under the videos of kids doing stupid things (sometimes cute but most times not), and all the videos of comedians/music vids etc you will find PimsGhost. She describes herself on youtube as this and she blogs here.

I'm happy to be here, and I'm happy to be fighting Liberal stupidity on a daily basis. I'm 1/2 Ionian Greek, 1/2 Anglo/Georgia girl with some percentage of Spanish/Cuban and 100% dedicated to threats

Yeah she's cute and I know I have a thing for good looking conservative women (Atlas Shrugs, Michele Malkin, Blonde Sagacity) who don't wear burka's so shoot me. Let's play a game.

Here's the scenario, we're going to play a game and we are going to play it on a board that has 8 squares going left to right and 8 going up/down with alternate colors in the squares..lets make them white and black. That's right it's a chessboard, so you think we are playing chess, well we are kind of. I will sit here with chess pieces on the board, you will have checkers. Now the way we play the game is by the rules of checkers, but I don't have to follow the rules of checkers or chess or any game ever played however you need to play by the rules of checkers! That means you move foward one spot at a time, but I get to jump all over the place in any direction as much as I want. I even get to have consecutive turns if I desire. In addition, the scoring is done by the judges on the sidelines. They award the points of the game based upon the rules of checkers, there are still no rules on me. The winner lives, the loser dies. Still wanna play the game? You of course, if you had any common sense would be saying "STFU, I am not playing your game with your rules".

Now let me rename the chessboard and the players. The chessboard covers the area of Iraq, Iran, Palestine, and the American border. The checker's represent Israel, American soldiers, and the future of America. The chess pieces are Islamic Jihadists, Palestinians, and anti-immigration backers. The judges are the Dimmicrats, the MSM, and the Islamic peoples.

You tell me that this analogy makes about as much sense as having a Kennedy be your designated driver! Still wanna play? Good. Let me show you some examples of one side having to play by the rules. So many great choices, not sure where to start.

Israel versus the rest of the middle east. So let me see if I get this straight? Israel pulls outta Gaza and a shit load of settlements in land that they won in a war. Then they suffer through pretty much hourly missle attacks in Sderot. The pali's dig a really long tunnel into Israeli territory, kill 2 soldiers and kidnap 1 soldier (who doesn't even look old enough to shave btw). Israel responds with shelling and tank movements etc, pretty much saying "give us back our son, or we will mess you up". Pali responds with the big "go ahead we dare ya". Israel then proceeds to bomb the snot outta them. Pali's fire back more rockets. All seem like logical moves point and counterpoint. Now the rules get changed, the UN and a shitload of countries blame ISRAEL!! This then strengthens the resolve of the pali's and emboldens Iran/Syria and Hezbollah to kidnap 2 more soldiers! UN can't find it's mouth here. Then when Israel sticks with the MO of bombing the Lebonese (sp) UN suddenly finds it's resolve and says "bad israel, bad". Rules for Islam are different then the Israeli's.
American soldiers get accused of raping a Iraqi girl and killing her and accused of slaughtering some Iraqi's in Haditha. They get tried/convicted in the press. Worldwide condemnation of their actions. The Islamic Jihadist's capture 2 american soldiers and mutilate them worse then any horror director could dream of. Press is silent. Rules for Islamic Jihadists are different then American Soldiers.
Gitmo detainees get protection under the Geneva Convention according to the SCOTUS, World denounces their treatment. Suicide bombers kill 60 women, children and men in a bomb in Baghdad, World can't find it's tongue.No mention of the Jihadists violating the Geneva Convention. Press can't find any ink. Rules are different.

These are examples of things where America has to wake up to. We simply can not win a war where we have to follow a set of rules that no one else does.
I believe in the Manifest Destiny of America, it's something I have believed in since Ronald Reagan first started speaking about how great our country was. It's something I will always believe in. The rest of the world may call it "american arrogance" but that's fine. In my opinion, if you live in a country and you DONT think it's the greatest country in the world you need to do some deep soul searching of you and your country.
We are the 1st country called upon in a world crisis. When the Tsunami hit, America was called upon for help, and criticized for not doing enough. When the genocide started in Darfur, we were called upon for help, and criticized for not doing enough.Famine and AIDS spreads through Africa, America is called upon for help, and criticized for not doing enough.
Some people around the world and here in America criticize Manifest Destiny, they call it American Colonialism or Imperialism. However, that begs this question "If America is NOT so great and is not a part of a almost mythical Manifest Destiny, then why does the world always turn to us?". We aren't the oldest civilization on the planet right now, historically speaking we are relatively young at 230 years. However, we are the "kid brother" that grew up, went to a good school and made something of himself. The relative that, while young in age, the rest of the family comes to for money, advice, and protection.
WWI and WWII Europe came to us. France came to us in Vietnam. The entire world looked to us doing the Cold War (really WWIII). Every major natural disaster, war, or health crisis America has been looked to for money, guidance and protection. We have to stand up and say "If you want to look to us for the responsibility of fixing your problems, then you also give up your right to complain about our solutions". Yet too many people here in America suffer from "American Guilt". Our nation's conscience can not seem to reconcile our greatness with the misery that goes on in the rest of the world. Look around you, read things on the web and in different forums. It's a psychoanalysts wet dream. People complaining that America has too much money, that we don't deserve to be the worlds only "super power", or that we as a nation need a comeuppance to balance out the playing field with the rest of the world! It's thought processes like this that drag us down, that weaken our resolve, and frankly it's just plain unbecoming of us.
We as American's through out all the previous generations have built a damn fine country. This was done not through the strenght of our armies, but rather through the strength of our resolve. America is a prime example of the saying "greater then the sum of it's parts". Are we perfect, is our country perfect? No, we're not. However, can you name a country overall better? Sure there are nations that beat us in this or that, however there is no saying, that I am aware of that goes "I want to live the Chinese Dream", or "Living the Russian Dream", or even "I want to move my family to another country so we can "live the European Dream". World wide it's called "the American Dream". There's a reason for that.
We, as American's need to sit up and say "Enough". Enough of the 2 sided United Nations that criticizes us, while asking for help and money. Enough of our soldiers having to play by a set of rules that the rest of the world does not live by. Enough of our American Guilt where we feel that we are not the greatest country on Earth. The way to lift the rest of the world to a higher standard of living is NOT by lowering ours. We need to steel our resolve. Stand by our values, and hold others accountable.
How would we do this? First and foremost by understanding the phrase "No greater friend, no worse enemy". Any nation or organization that does not condemn terrorism, does not condemn barbarity needs to feel our wrath. They need to feel it financially through restriction of aid, through imposition of tariffs, and possibly through military force. Any nation that does not have some form of real democracy needs to feel it also. To say "You should be a democracy" then reward a nation with foreign aid dilutes our message. The 2 most powerful forces since the end of WWII have been Democracy and free market capitalism. These are the tools we need to not only use, but to feel good about using them. We need to reward hard work and punish those who would live off our work, both here and abroad. American's need to realize that we are the greatest country on Earth, that we have the ability, nay the responsibility to help those who truly want to be helped and to punish, or at least not reward those that don't.
We need to tell the rest of the world that they can NOT change the rules midstream. Those that would hold America to one set of rules while practicing or allowing another to practice a different set should be admonished or sectioned off from what makes America great. To allow the rest of the world and some Americans to demean our accomplishments while begging for our favor must stop. We are not the teat to feed and protect the world yet get nothing back. That's not Democracy and it's not free market capitalism. It's looting, plain and simple. Right now the UN and Islam are looting our soldiers, values, and our civilization. American guilt is looting our resolve. I for one am willing to stand up and say enough. Is anyone else?

Will the ACLU defend this person?

Ok, haven't been posting too much lately. Work etc, not to mention all the crap going on over at dailykos and proteinwisdom. However, I saw this article today and wanted to toss a few thoughts out there on it. This article seemed really pertinent to me. See lately I've been debating the flag burning amendment with some conservative friends of mine. They say it's fine to burn a flag and that any restriction on it is an assault on free speech. Me personally, I believe that people could find other ways to protest and that we should protect the symbol of our nation. After all, it wasn't an ACLU charter that was raised over Iwo Jima, nor was it Clinton 08 poster that was raised at Ground Zero. It was a effing flag of our country. Now before you think that I am just gonna go off on a burn/not burn the flag tirade, I want to tell you what the link was about (cause I know that 3 outta the 5 of you who come here didn't click the link). Here's a snippet.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. The F-B-I will look into an online video that shows two men shooting a Quran with a military rifle and then leaving the bullet-riddled holy book at a Chattanooga mosque.

Seem's some guy decided to excercise his right to free speech and protest.

The video shows the man purchasing a Quran at a bookstore, going to a wooded area and shooting the book, then throwing it on the ground outside the door of the Chattanooga Islamic center.

Now before anyone get's crazy I totally am against and condemn this part

A man on the Web site identifies himself as "mully88" and claims to live in Chattanooga. The author's profile lists as heroes (quote) "anybody that has killed a muslim or at least tried to kill a muslim." The site also contains slurs against Hispanics and blacks.

See what I find so funny is that we in America (especially groups like the ACLU and the liberal left) are so one sided in who or what they defend. Rights are only rights when they want them to be. How can any person or group be so vocal in defending the rights of one group that they trample on the rights of another? Talk amongst yourselves.That's totally wrong, HOWEVER the FBI has no business investigating the Quran with the bullet hole part. Sure, check the guy out for hate crimes towards minorities. However, if he's caught and any part of his charges involve shooting a hole in the Quran and tossing it outside a mosque, well then I gotta ask if the ACLU will be filing briefs on his behalf? After all, all he was doing was utilizing his constitutional rights to protest against Islam.

Now before any of you start to criticize me for defending hate speech against a religion, I have to ask this. Have you protested against those who bash the "zionist state" or defended Israels right to existence or just defended the pali's who use children as shields and shoot rockets at townspeople day and night? Have you defended the right of a Christian valedictorian's right to thank Jesus at her graduation speech or defended the school who cut off her mic even though the audience wanted to hear what she had to say? (this one is for the muslim readers) Have you condemned the Islamic Jihadists when they denied Tucker and Menchaca the right not to be tortured and have their bodies desecrated or defended the people who like to bomb Iraqi children because they took candy from an US soldier? Have you defended the rights of an unborn child before they get their brains sucked out or defended the right of a woman who got too drunk to have protected sex?

So. Occasionally I go and read the Daily Kos, ya know for shits and giggles. You see this thread here is a really good example of how Bush just can't win. We invade Iraq, all the moonbats and leftards start screaming that we didn't use enough diplomacy (yeah the years of UN resolutions, , we didn't have enough Allies (believe it was about 40 countries at one point), and on and on. Now we are faced with another lunatic despot,one with nukes thanks to Slick Willy Clinton and Madeline Al(notso)bright. So what's Bush do, he goes out and uses diplomacy with Russia, China, Japan, and South Korea. North Korea fires some missles, but does the supposedly warmongering Bush send in the troops? No, he uses more diplomacy. You would think that he would get some credit from the left. Yeah right sure. Lets look at some of the comments on the DailyKos. These are actual comments left on the Daily Kos website.

Update on the Roman Catholic Church post

I posted here on the Roman Catholic Church starting to take steps to defend itself and swing back at the Islamic jihadists movements. In it I mentioned that the RCC was a large ship, and slow to turn but you could see signs of it all the way back under the previous pope. Here's another sign of it.

On the pessimistic side of the equation, concern begins with the Koran itself. In my own reading of the Koran, I began to note down invocations to violence. There are so many of them, however, that I abandoned this exercise after 50 or 60 or 70 pages

It's a long but good article. Grab yourself a cup of coffee and some smokes before reading it. I expect there are other articles this out there, and there will be more as the RCC decides it wants to start the process of push back and self defense. "Self defense?" you say, why yes, self defense. You see the RCC is smart (I've stated before I'm a recovering Catholic, not a current Catholic), they see the writing on the wall. They see the approaching Sharia law and the anti-catholic crusade (right after the Islamics get the Jews). Not to mention the RCC is very active in Africa (where the Islamic Jihadists are claiming victory in Somalia), and other countries like Turkey, so they see the front lines of the problem. Another sign they are smart is that they don't have the Pope standing out on his Sunday sermon swinging back, this isn't the time for it....yet. They will have a few archbishops etc toss the little barbs out there to see what the response is. A few people (bloggers etc) will notice it, most people will not. The MSM will not. IF Islam swings back hard (which is the only way they know how to do), then the RCC can take a very hard stand and be the "victim" putting Islam in the light of the "oppressor". Don't get me wrong, Islam is an oppressor. They are a childish cult that has yet to grow up or advance with the rest of civilization. Should make for interesting times.

Catholicism responds to Islam

Saw this post over at Blonde Sagacity (awesome blog, and a beautiful Philly gal to boot) and I had to expound a bit on it. Seems Ratzinger (current Pope for the non-catholics) has grown some balls on behalf of the Roman Catholic Church and has decided to stand up to Islam. Here's the article. Now you have to think about this for a minute, this is potentially a dangerous stance for 2 reasons.

Catholics in muslim countries will get even worse treatment then they currently do. Islam can not and does not brook any disagreements, especially in their countries.
This raises the specter of direct attacks against the Church and it's branches whereever they may be.

Now for those who read the article you might be tempted to say "that's not the Pope standing up, that's a few priests". You would be right on the literal but not the figurative. For one thing this quote.

“Enough now with this turning the other cheek! It’s our duty to protect ourselves.” Thus spoke Monsignor Velasio De Paolis, secretary of the Vatican’s supreme court, referring to Muslims.

A statement such as this would not of been said without the Pope deciding it needed to be said. The reason that it was done this way, rather then directly by the Pope, is in my opinion due to a mix of worry over reasons 1 and 2. The RCC is very politically savvy and this gives the Pope a chance to backstep if the reaction by Islam is anywhere near the level of the Mohammed Cartoons. Now the RCC is still a very large ship and it turns very slowly, so statements like the above just didn't start, even in light of current developments. They actually started under the last Pope.

Rumblings of this could be heard already in John Paul II’s time. For example, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, the Vatican equivalent of foreign minister, noted in late 2003 that “There are too many majority Muslim countries where non-Muslims are second-class citizens.” Tauran pushed for reciprocity: “Just as Muslims can build their houses of prayer anywhere in the world, the faithful of other religions should be able to do so as well.”

I've heard it said and read, that we need to understand that Islam, as one of the youngest global religions is still in it's infancy and is no more barbaric then the RCC was 600 years ago. Personally, I feel that is a straw man arguement. The world was much less civilized 600 years ago, both it and the RCC advanced in culture and in behavior. Islam has not advanced since the days of Saladin.
The real test will be what the RCC does when Islam responds. Even though I am a "recovering catholic" I think that it's important that the organizations of civilization stand up to the barbaric international jihadist movement.

Cup of STFU

Now this is extreme, even for the media and the idjits who think that we really don't have an "illegal immigration" problem. Take a look at this article to see what I mean. For those who hate clicking links..let me show you a few quotes from it. Here's Micheal "can't fill Rudy's shoes" Bloomberg

Sounds pretty dire..the economy of NYC would be a shell if not for illegal immigrants. Now according to the article NYC has about 3 million immigrants with about 500,000 there illegally. So what Bloomberg is saying is that without these 500,000 cab drivers, hotel maids, and convenience store clerks the city's economy would be a shell. WTF? Wow NYC must really be suffering from maximum employment so bad that it needs illegals to perform services for the city. Think again!

The house of Representative's bill is 100 times better AND will be gaining in popularity as more people learn about it. Oh and before anyone thinks I'm just hating on Bloomberg, this circus was ringmastered by PA's own Arlen "magic bullet" Specter.

If you can download their shows for later listening I think it will be time for me to go get an MP3 player! Resisted the urge thanks to satelite radio, but this could put me over. Atlas Shrugs and Stop the ACLU are the 2 shows I will be looking foward to the most. Not that I won't listen to them all but those are 2 of the bloggers I read the most. I saw this post in the Jerusalem Post today and had to start brewing a cup of STFU. Seems the Swiss have problems with the Israeli Defense Forces hitting some of the "civilian infrastructure".

"A number of actions by the Israeli defense forces in their offensive against the Gaza Strip have violated the principle of proportionality and are to be seen as forms of collective punishment, which is forbidden," the Swiss Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"There is no doubt that Israel has not taken the precautions required of it in international law to protect the civilian population and infrastructure,"

Um, so what were they busy doing when this happened? I certainly didn't see the Swiss put down their watches and chocolates to make a press release about the fact that Sderot is emptier then Pelosi's head! Seriously folks, why do the Israeli's have to sit back and take constant shelling yet they get criticized when they blow up a few bridges and a power plant? Does the media and the Swiss value the lives of the children of Sderot so much less then the Palestinian people? You never see the terrorist missles on the news but the minute the Israeli's respond back they get international criticism, have a cup of STFU.
In 99% of the news reports of the Israeli counter-offensive (and it IS a counter offensive since they didn't start it but you can bet they will finish it!) into Palestine you hear about the Israeli soldier that was kidnapped. Sounds bad doesn't..one soldier "kidnapped" and the Israelis go all nuts. What you don't see talk about in the MSM is that the Pali's had to tunnel almost a mile, come up behind the guardpost, sneak up on the soldiers and kill several to capture Shalit. That's what's called premeditated murder and kidnapping. It's not like Shalit "wandered" into a bad hood. He was on ISRAELI SOIL and they tunneled in like cowardly worms to kill some soldiers and abduct one. At the time I am writing this, Hamas has given Israel 7 more hours to start releasing criminals (they call them prisoners..but we all know they are there for a reason) or else they will "close the case" on Shalit. I pray that he's ok, and that Israel does not give in, all that will do is embolden Hamas for more of these type of showdowns.
Because of this, I present the Swiss with a nice steaming extra large cup of STFU. (on a side note I think I might start doing this daily..there are so many groups/people who need a steaming cup of that).

There was a new message today from a guest editor of the NY Times. Special contributor Usama Bin Laden came out with a missive on war tactics and foreign policy. Let's see what he he has to say on war tactics.

"Stay steadfast and don't leave Baghdad, otherwise all the capitals in the region will fall to the crusaders,"

Hmm, I think that was the general idea Usama Bin Hiden! You know, plant a democracy in Iraq, watch it spread to Saudi, Egypt, Syria, Iran etc. You just gotta hate that whole virulent spread of freedom thing dontcha? Where is the rest of the media saying the same thing? It's called geo-politcal stratergy (yeah I spelled it like Bush says it).

Now let's take a look at Usama's idea of "motivational speaking". It's pretty damn uplifting if ya ask me.

“Whoever hopes to convince these apostates without arms to stop killing the Muslim people in Baghdadand its surrounding areas is silly. It is like trying to convince a wolf to stop attacking sheep and this won’t happen. This will not stop the apostates, Crusaders, and infidels. The only way to do it is by fighting. Wow, thats um getting a little heavy handed ain't it? It sounds like his goat rapers must really be getting their collective butts kicked doesn't it? I mean there's only been about 500 raids on cells in Iraq since we sent Zarqawi to collect his virgins.

He then goes on to talk about foreign policy of Al-quaeda and it's potential new home over in Somalia (you know that place I've been talking about for MONTHS).

bin Laden notes that as they have chosen Islam, they have "peace, security, light, and guidance," despite its past president Siad Barre rejecting the religion for communism.

Should you really consider it "choosing" when it's done at the end of a gun barrell? Seems he's a little worried about the Islamic councils foothold there.

He then states that Somali President Abdullahi Yusuf is continuing the defiance of Islam in the country, being amongst the "betrayer agent gang" and calling for international forces to occupy Somalia. Any Muslim who sides with Yusuf and support his regime, is to be considered "unbeliever and would result in excommunication".

Now 1st off, I have'nt really read of any "islamic" country going in to help so maybe he knows something we don't. In addition since when did the Jihadist cult start the practice of excommunication?!? I thought it went "do as I say or off with your head?". He also is really starting to threaten of Islamic nations now..you know that whole "religion of peace" slogan is really starting to show it's holes ain't it?

"We promise Almighty Allah that we will fight its soldiers on the Somali land with His Help and Power. We also reserve our rights to punish them on their own land and in any available place at any time or in any way which is convenient for us. I also urge the Muslim youths and their merchants to sacrifice everything valuable and to provide for all the needs of the Mujahideen through trusted people, especially in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia, Afghanistan, and Sudan."

He's also seems to be trying to shore up support among the kids and bankers here by asking for donations etc. All in all, alot of the same tripe from him but as you can see there are some interesting tidbits. You can read the whole translation over here and SITE.

Hatip: Captain's Quarters. Seems some terrorist group in Palestine (does anyone else live there besides Jews?) have now gotten WMD's and are threatening to use them. Seems they are even advertising it but you haven't seen it all over the MSM have you?

The Aksa Martyrs Brigades announced on Sunday that its members have succeeded in manufacturing chemical and biological weapons.
In a leaflet distributed in the Gaza Strip, the group, which belongs to Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah Party, said the weapons were the result of a three-year effort.

Ok, so they have them and a lot of people are talking about where they got them from. What I am more worried about is this statement and it's after effects.

The group said its members would not hesitate to add the new weapons to Kassam rockets that are being fired at Israeli communities almost every day.

Right now Israel has been under a massive case of denial. They have been pushing peace and turning the other cheek (considering Sderot I think they have been doing it too much). However all bets are off the minute any sort of gas is used to kill an Israeli citizen. We are talking about a shitstorm of biblical proportions (overdue) that will make the 7 day war look like a slap fight. Quite simply I think you will see the Pali's swept into either the ocean or a desert and anyone who stands with them will go too. This of course will have a massively bad effect on the entire world. There's an old saying that "those who don't learn from their past are doomed to repeat it". I've heard it used concerning Iraq and Vietnam, that we are repeating mistakes here. Their right, we are. In vietnam politicians and panty-waisted protesters led us to lose that war. Now they are trying again, but that wasn't the last time they convinced us to run from a fight that was right. The last time was in the 90's in Somalia (for more info look here, here and here . Who led the charge for us to tuck tail and run in Somalia? It was none other then Dick "chicken heart" Murtha.Ok, luckily so far the Dimmi's haven't won enough to get us to cut and run. Now's the time we need to remember what the effects of that decision was and we need to remind the rest of America what happens when we run from terrorists. Let's see what guest editor of the the New York Times said about Murtha's military strategy in Somalia..

This was the moment that he became bold enough to come after American's in America. All he needed was a safe country to base himself out of, and he got that in Afghanistan with the Taliban. We bailed out of Afghanistan after helping them revolt against the Russians. Once Russia was out we left them alone BEFORE a stable government was built and running. Then Bin Laden moved in with the Taliban. Bin Laden was no threat to American soil until he had a safe haven to base himself out of. Now we are coming full circle with Al-Quaida moving back into Somalia.
To recap it went like this
Help Afghani's but run out before a stable government is up and running. Taliban moves in and bases Bin Laden. Move into Somalia but run out when the going got tough, 13 years of fighting and Bin Laden's Al-Quaida gets control of the military in Somalia. Now the dimmicrats and the MSM want us to pull out of Iraq before they are stable and able to defend themselves. What has history shown us the result would be?

Treason or money making opportunity?

I've been reading this post over at hot air and I got to disagree with all the people who are saying we should try the NY slimes reporters for treason etc. What we NEED to do is get a class-action lawsuit together. Normally I am against lawsuits being used to solve disagreements, but I think their actions call for it.
Their reporting has become a form of negligence and is putting the lives of every American here and abroad in danger. You see, they want a fight on 1st amendment rights etc. Then the conservative right becomes the "nazi" party (and you know that's one of the moonbats favorite names to call the right). If the Bush admin were to press charges for treason they would gladly sit in jail during the trial, no I think they would DEMAND to sit in jail during the trial, so long as they could write about it.
However, if a class-action civil suit for willful neglience and endangering the life of all American's (I will leave it to someone who speaks legalese to come up with the exact phrase) were put in motion. Now THAT would get their attention. Nothing would speak louder to the MSM then a nice big fat lawsuit. Imagine the dilema of a liberal activist, law making judge. Greater Public Safety vs. MSM? Imagine the public outcry against the MSM when a lawyer stands on the courthouse steps and talks about "How the NY and LA Times put every American life at risk with their carelessness over a legal program".
I think the best thing about that would be the incredible battle that would go on in the MSM, they all love a juicy story and the misery of someone else, especially their peers vs. trying to defend their craft. Now that would be art worthy of an NEA grant.

I saw this over on Hotair today and well I gotta applaud Dallas. Ok, the 4 of you who read my posts know that I am a die-hard Philadelphia Eagles fan consequently I hate the cowboys and TO. That makes this soo hard to do but, I have to give MAJOR props to the politicians in Dallas, Tx. for this thing right here (go on click it, you know you want to!). Once again local politicians are getting what our federal politico's aren't. Look here for what Hazelton, PA. (NW of Philly) is doing (yeah that's right, Dallas copies a PA town in trying something to crack down on illegal immigrants. It's a damn good thing and we all need to work on our Senator's and Rep's to get with what the people want. You can go here to see what your states reps and senator's have done on immigration.
It's ideas from 2 towns like these that the congress needs to look at and implement into any "comprehensive immigration reform bill". These are the ideas that we, as concerned citizen need to talk about an spread! Start with our own state rep's to get the groundswell going and work on the Congressional idjits at the same time. 2008 isn't that far away, and we need to start looking over the 2004 platform and adjusting it to current world status. Immigration is a large large part of that and needs to be addressed. The person who takes the lead on Immigration and war on the Islamic Jihadist movement gets my vote.

Ok, just a quick vent post on something called "personal responsibility". Where the heck has it gone? Everything is a disease, affliction, or someone elses fault. What brought this on (the 4 of you who read this might ask?) is somethings like this.

Bill Oreilly says "we" (meaning America) are partly to blame for the illegal immigrant problem because we "allowed" them to come here. Ok, it's our "fault" we have a thriving economy and a land of freedoms. Sure, we did nothing to stop them Bill, you know that thing called the border guard and the fence wasn't a clear sign that we wanted people to come in the right way. STFU. On second thought, yeah maybe he has a point, after all we give illegal immigrants free health care and free schooling. Does anyone think for even a second that the illegal immigrants thought it was ok to break into the country? Yeah we don't have a large fence across the border (give the minutemen time though). However, I would counter that with this, if you walk into someone's house and steal their TV it's still theft. Yeah you might not get charged with "breaking and entering" but it's still theft. So illegal immigrants might not be responsible for "breaking into our country" but they are still responsible for the theft of services. Steal cable and see how serious "theft of services can be".
I read a post on a person's blog recently that talked about a relative having a drinking problem that could cost him his job and his relationship. One of the posters mentioned that it was an "addiction" and that people should talk to this guy gently and firmly. Screw that, it's called "you made a choice to be a drunk, now make a choice to sober up". The libs are famous for labeling something a disease, affliction, problem etc rather then calling it what it is. A serious defect in your ability to make the right damn choice. My family has alkies going back at leat 3 generations yet no one in this generation is, know why cause my siblings and I made the choice not to be. We drink, we party we don't become idiots and let drinking overrun our lives, nuff said. More people need to stand up and say "stop making stupid decisions and you won't have this "affliction".

Every day we all see in the news how, some crime etc was someone elses fault. Look at Cynthia Mckinney and Patrick Kennedy. Both blamed their crimes on someone else, Mckinney on a cop doing his JOB (you know that thing that democrats don't want you to have so you can be on welfare) and Kennedy on "ambien use and having an addiction". What should of happened is Mckinney apologizing, and at the least getting community services working at FOP fundraisers and Kennedy losing his license and doing a little bit of time. Both share the personal responsibility of not knowing when to have a large cup of STFU.

Saw this article here and wanted to share it with everyone. The sleepy little town of Hazeltown (I've been there a lot for work, it's small town America) has stepped up to the plate on illegal immigrants.

Last week the mayor of this former coal town introduced, and the City Council tentatively approved, a measure that would revoke the business licenses of companies that employ illegal immigrants; impose $1,000 fines on landlords who rent to illegal immigrants; and make English the official language of the city.

Here's what was the straw that broke the camels back.

Barletta said he had no choice but to act after two illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic were charged last month with shooting and killing a 29-year-old man. Other recent incidents involving illegal immigrants have rattled this city 80 miles northwest of Philadelphia, including the arrest of a 14-year-old boy for firing a gun at a playground.

How come the Senate/House can't pass a bill like this? Small town America sees the issue and is taking steps to combat it, why can't our statewide and national elected officials see it? I will say that it's nice to see my home state start stepping up on the issue, 1st with Joey Vento at Geno's and now this. Philadelphia Freedom baby!

So, I read this article over at Lgf and was wondering why we aren't seeing it all over the news. Then I realized, that outside of the conservative blogosphere and President Bush's (when he gave the speech calling it an "International Jihadist Movement" after his Iraq visit), no one else seems to be able to see it. Perhaps it's a case of Chamberlainitis or an ostrich-defense strateg y? So let's take a look at some examples of how appeasement has worked in Thailand. Below is a timeline of some events and the policies taken to combat it.

Violence started in 2001 with a lot of policemen killed and over 50 insurgency related incidents (from wikipedia: South Thailand insurgency). Thailand's Prime Minister's response "I don't think religion was the cause of the problems down there because several of the policemen killed were Muslim."
Then let's bomb them with love, peace and goodwill. This event happened in December of 2004.
Well now, they've applied the liberal principles of Deny and Hug, so it must of worked right? Here's some examples of how Denial and Hug worked out here and here oh yeah and here (notice all the progressing dates of the articles).

So what you say, who cares about Thailand? We all should, what you need to remember is the pervasive side of the Islamic Jihadists. It's a movement (I will no longer call it a religion because it is more cultlike then anything else) that believes it has a divine right to spread and conquer. Look at the this map and what you will see is the close proximity to some countries whose histories have been anything but stable i.e. Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia. The problem we are really facing here in America is that we are stuck in the "denial" step of things. We call them "insurgents", we act like the only place the Islamic Jihadists are trying to take over are in Afghanistan and Iraq and ignore the fact that this hydra has many heads (Israel,Somalia and Thailand to name 3 others) and are determined to spread and cause instability in the hopes of conquest. The GWOT (global war on terror) needs to change it's tact and voice. We need to stop calling it the GWOT and call it what it is, a war of ideas,values, and freedom against the Islamic Jihadist movement. We have to fight this war, not only on the streets of Iraq or the mountains of Afghanistan, but in other smaller countries as well. In addition, we need to be vigilant and demand that the news media provide better coverage of this and calls it what it is a war on Freedom by an Islamic Jihadist Movement.

Bear in mind that most people in our short attention span world only read the first few paragraphs of any article, unless it really grabs their attention. Now from here on out, I will refer to them as article 1 and article 2.

Article 1 JERUSALEM (AFP) - Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert rejected calls for an international inquiry into a blast on a Gaza beach nearly two weeks ago in which eight Palestinians were killed.

"We will never agree to become subject to an investigation by international bodies," Olmert told ministers during a weekly cabinet meeting.

Israel denied any responsibility after the deadly June 9 incident in which seven members of the same family were killed while picnicking on the beach in the northern Gaza strip.

Article 2-

Israel will not agree to an international investigation into the blast on a Gaza beach 10 days ago that killed seven Palestinian civilians and which the IDF said was not caused by IDF artillery fire, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said at Sunday's cabinet meeting.
"We will never agree to be the subject of an international investigation," Olmert told the cabinet. "The world is not always willing to accept what we say, but nobody can cast doubt on our investigation. I accept it completely," Olmert said of the IDF investigation that determined the deaths were not caused by IDF fire on Gaza.

These are the first 2 paragraphs, with the bolding was added by me. Notice the quotes from Olmert. In article 1 they left out the end part of the quote where Olmert mentions that Israel investigated the incident. So if you were a casual reader you could be thinking from Article 1 that Olmert is just thumbing his nose at the international community. However, when you see the same quote in Article 2 you see the rest of it where he says there was an investigation. Now lets look at some more paragraphs.

Article 1 paragraphs 3 and 4.

Israel denied any responsibility after the deadly June 9 incident in which seven members of the same family were killed while picnicking on the beach in the northern Gaza Strip.
An internal military inquiry into the incident, ordered by Defence Minister Amir Peretz, absolved Israel of any involvement.

Article 2 paragraphs 3 and 4.

"I believe the IDF, and I trust [Defense Minister Amir] Peretz and the army," Olmert said. He stressed that neither British Prime Minister Tony Blair nor French President Jacques Chirac criticized the IDF's defensive operations in the Gaza Strip during his meetings with them last week.
Culture and Sport Minister Ophir Paz-Pines' question about whether it would not have been wise to have had civilians involved in the investigation into the blast, led to a heated discussion of the matter as well as a report Saturday in The Times of London alleging that the deaths were caused by an IDF artillery-shell.

These paragraphs aren't bad either way. However, article 1 leaves out where Olmert says that 2 world leaders whom met with Olmert last week never expressed a problem with Israel's defensive actions. That is a pretty decent sized ommission.
Now if you continue reading both articles you see this at the end of article 1.

Peretz told cabinet colleagues the world was wrong in its assumptions about the cause of the deaths, suggesting they might have been caused by unexploded Israeli ordnance or a Palestinian landmine left over from before Israel's withdrawal of ground troops last year.

"It may turn out that the blast was caused by old IDF (Israel Defence Forces) explosives on the beach. Things are still being examined. I hope that within several days we will have a complete picture," the minister said.

Look at the end of article 2.

Meanwhile Sunday, Sueddeutsche Zeitung- a leading German daily - published its own investigation into the incident casting doubt on the authenticity of pictures taken of the scene immediately following the explosion.
According to the article, the pictures taken by a Palestinian cameraman at the scene of the explosion contradicted Palestinian claims that an IDF shell had killed the family of seven on June 10. The paper also raised the possibility that the entire scene was staged by the cameraman in an effort to frame Israel.
The newspaper also doubted the Palestinian claim that the girl who survived the explosion was not injured since she was in the water when the alleged IDF shell exploded. In the cameraman's footage, however, the girl is fully dressed and her clothes, the newspaper claimed, were dry.

See the difference? In article 1 the reporter uses a quote to basically imply that Israel might still be responsible if it was old ordinance. However, when you see the end of article 2 that there are doubts recently published in Germany questioning the claims of the Palis. Those are 2 radically different endings, that people who finished the articles, would get. Article 1 also mentions how Israel regulary shells Gaza in order to stop Palestinian rocket fire but Article 2 actually names the town that's getting shelled (Sderot). Know what the difference is? It's the fact that Article 2 puts a name to a place that is under bombardment, that makes a huge difference to the subconscious. Think about it, Palestinian rocket fire vs. Sderot being attacked by rockets. Which would gather your attention more?

Ok, last night was a late night, but for the 4 people who read my blog on a regular basis I would be remiss if I posted nothing so here we go.

Major newspaper comes out in defense of FEMA and the 16% of emergency money spent on bullcrap. If you read the whole article they defend FEMA to some degree, then bash them for trying to make changes to make it better. Really, where is the outcry over the lack of personal responsibility of the people cheating the system? In all the press I've read and tv watched on this I've yet to see anyone say "those people are scum of the earth criminals that need to be arrested and forced to work on cleanup of New Orleans". That's one of the things wrong with this country right now, is that their is no personal responsibility for your actions. Everything is someone elses fault i.e. the govt shouldn't of given out that money, Bush lied, the education system failed me. People need to accept that ultimate responsibility for their actions and the consequences lie with them, not someone else.

She's not a victim asking for help. 2nd there is a good reason for her rhetoric and that's the publicity for the book that gets garnered by it. If Coulter had made the same point on the "jersey girls" without the rhetoric she never would of been on the Today show or most of the other MSM outlets. When most media outlets are controlled by the enemy (and make no bones, the extreme left is the enemy we battle for the soul and future of this country) then sometimes you have to make a radical move to get the attention to get your point out to the undecideds in the war. 3rd Using the basis of the battle between Conservative and Liberal I call upon this quote of Sun Tzu,
Security against defeat implies defensive tactics; ability to defeat the enemy means taking the offensive. Standing on the defensive indicates insufficient strength; attacking, a superabundance of strength

This means at times we will be faced with the need to go on an offensive, and since we are fighting, not on a field of battle, but rather in the wasteland that is the media, we need to do things to be able to take the "field". That's what Coulter did by using that rhetoric, she forced herself onto the field(main stream tv) more then she usually is. The only way to challenge the "infallibility of the victim" was to challenge the "victim" themselves in such a way that it could not be ignored. I leave you with this thought on the subject, how can you have rules in war when only 1 side obeys them?

The war in Iraq, you know, watching the news etc. you might be led to believe that it is going horribly for us. I came across this article and page, and I got to tell you, it's absolutely frigging brillant. I won't describe, just go look.

A new direction or a fastlane to hell?

Ok, today I've been looking over the Democrats "new direction" plan. It's a new direction ok, right on a downward spiral. Here's the propaganda er plan. Let's take a look at it in some detail.My comments in yellow

MAKE HEALTH CARE MORE AFFORDABLE
- Fix the prescription drug program by putting people ahead of drug companies and HMOs, eliminating wasteful subsidies, negotiating lower drug prices and ensuring the program works for all seniors; invest in stem cell and other medical research.
- Hmm, can you socialistic medicine? I mean it's worked so well in other countries. Do they not understand that by making the drug companies the enemy they will actually stifle new drug research? The drug companies and HMO's will do whatever they need to do to make a profit. If that means they cut R&D then they will.
LOWER GAS PRICES AND ACHIEVE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE
- Crack down on price gouging; eliminate billions in subsidies for oil and gas companies and use the savings to provide consumer relief and develop American alternatives, including biofuels; promote energy efficient technology.
- Um, what about opening ANWAR? I notice there's no mention of wind energy! What about the Dem's driving instructor Teddy Kennedy blocking a wind farm in his own backyard? The oil industry works on cycles, where were the Dem's when oil was losing money? In addition, the amount of OIL isn't the issue, it's the amount of REFINERIES that are an issue. Free market capitalism works, high oil prices will spur more and more investment in alternative energies.
HELP WORKING FAMILIES
- Raise the minimum wage; repeal tax giveaways that encourage companies to move jobs overseas.
- Ok, now lets be realistic how many people are working for minimun wage now? You know who is working for minimum wage? Teenagers and illegal immigrants. You see, the real plan for the dem's works like this. Raise the minimum wage, have small business not hire as many people thus creating less jobs, less jobs equal more people on welfare, equals more votes for the welfare party. Look here for a study on the impact of raising minimum wage. We currently are under 5% unemployment, most economists say that 5% unemployment is tantamount to full employment but the Dem's complain that wages aren't rising. You know what causes that? A cheap pool of labor flooding in from outside the country!
CUT COLLEGE COSTS
- Make college tuition deductible from taxes; expand Pell grants and cut student loan costs.
- Sure I'm ok with college tuiton being tax deductible (even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes). Let's also get rid of "affirmative action" being the deciding factor on grants. However, I think we need to also clean up our colleges. They have been invaded by the culture of liberalism and they have turned partisan. No college that has a decidedly partisan curriculum should recieved federal funds.
ENSURE DIGNIFIED RETIREMENT
- Prevent the privatization of Social Security; expand savings incentives; ensure pension fairness.
- You know what the shame is? Dem's claimed to have "fixed" social security under Clinton...so why's it still a mess? For one thing, social security was never meant to be the sole support for a retiree but rather a supplement. However, Dem's have turned it into "bread and circuses" insomuch that people now depend on it. Most companies do not even offer pensions anymore, thats a red herring for non-union voters and a total pandering job to the unions. Look at the UAW and the Big 3 auto for what the combo of unions and pensions equal. The government can not even manage a DMV worth a shit, so we want to let them manage our retirement? No thank you, my individual retirement fund is up much higher then an government run plan.
REQUIRE FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Restore the budget discipline of the 1990s that helped eliminate deficits and spur record economic growth.
- Their right that we need more fiscal responsibility. Let's start by cutting the pork. Then we can move to cut the costs spent on illegal immigrants. That will have an impact on several fronts, health care system costs will go down, less costs incurred by the education system, more Americans working for a higher wage. While I agree with the Dem's here I think they may look at it differently. Notice there is no "plan" here but just a slogan.

The rest of that page is the dem's whining and moaning about Bush. They listed 6 points of their plan and 7 points of BDS! They can't even balance their bitching and moaning with their plans, how they gonna balance the deficit? Their plan sounds pretty though doesn't it? However, there is no real direction in there, it's we're gonna go this way and see what happens. Pay attention, not only to their "new direction" but to the words in their plan. In a soon to be out post I will be disecting the language of the left.

For crying out loud, DC police DROVE KENNEDY HOME AFTER HE WRECKED HIS CAR DRIVING DRUNK. Remember folks, we live in a government by the people and for the people, but not in a country where the government gets judged LIKE the people. Call it the common sense test. It's a test of what should happen based upon what has happened before in similiar situations. In the past government officials have gotten off scott free of everything up to murder and it happened in DC, where the Mayor was caught on tape of buying drugs and using then but then after jail got re-elected. so who using "common sense" would of thought that Mckinney would get charged? Everyone can shut up about Mckinney now and drink a cup of STFU.

I saw the linked title article and started looking at some other articles. Seems Israel has had enough and I mean enough of the relentless, unprovoked, and barbaric rocket attacks on it's women and children.

"Return your arsenal to your storage rooms," he advised the Palestinians.
Then he warned, "We know where each storage room is...We won't allow this violence to harm Israeli citizens."

You think that's clear enough, that the patience (scratch that, I would call it idiotic lack of harsh response) is almost over. Here's another quote from a different article.

Now for those who don't know (I didn't I had to look it up at my favorite place for terrorist propraganda google!). Yassin and Rantissi are 2 of the founding fathers of a bastard child called Hamas. Both were sent to recieve their goats er virgins at the end of an Israeli missle. Bear in mind here, this isn't just rhetoric, it's not only a serious threat against 2 people but a threat to a country that is supporting Hamas and the international jihadist movement because Haniyeh's direct report is in Damascus, Syria. So now let's see if we got the timeline straight

Pali's either fake an explosion or blame an accident on a beach in Gaza that killed civilians on the Israelis
Hamas uses this as a reason to end the cease fire and starts firing lots of rockets into Israel
Israeli Defense Forces start taking a proactive approach to killing those who will fire rockets.
Media totally ignores all this (except when Israel hit's a civilian carrying a rocket, er wait doesn't that make them a terrorist?)
Israel says, enough of this bullshit, we're going to come after the guys giving orders.
Hamas leaders shit their collective pants.
Hamas leader orders an immediate cessation of rocket attacks into Israel.
All is quiet in Israel......WRONG

Ya know I have to do a lot of business negotiations in my day job (this blogging thing is for my own mental health, I make nothing doing it and probably change no one's minds), but there's one thing I know for sure and that is "negotiate from positions of strength". This is the time that Israel needs to step up and say to Hamas and the Pali government "You will be responsible for all acts of war that come over your border into our country". You see, Haniyeh is a chicken shit and Syria wants no part of an armed conflict with Israel. So now they need to press the negotiations instead of going back to the status quo. Tell Haniyeh that if he can not control his own "citizens" that the Israeli government will pass a law making it legal for their citizens to fire rockets into Palestine. Then create the "walmart of rockets" for Israeli citizens only. You do realize that every Israeli citizen has had military training right? My cousin lives in Israel and is a beautiful young woman, but I bet she could fire the hell outta a rocket. You also realize that Israel is one of the best economies of the middle east (without oil mind you). I bet they could mass produce some really nice/accurate missles cheap and fast. Let the Israelis form "groups" and fire back and watch the MSM scream! Now I know that won't happen, but it's nice to dream. Seriously though, negotiate from strenght, Hamas is backing up. Press the negotiations hard and demand that Hamas take responsibility for missles being fired by other groups inside their borders and that they will be treated accordingly. Before you start saying I am crazy let's take a look at some things here. First I refer you to one of the right's Godess bloggers, Atlas Shrugs here and then I refer you to this article , and this one, another one, and finally googles own search for "google censors news".

Let's break this down some (hey google, I own some stock, don't censor my site k?)
This site that google accepts as news is clearly anti-semitic and directly contradicts all the news carried on other "news sites" (I put it in "" because imo CNN and Reuters aren't really news sites). The Manar "news article" came out on 6-14 saying "Israel admits responsibility for the killing of eight Palestinian citizens in Gaza", yet Israel denies it was them shelling the palis here and here a day before. So basically google news is now endorsing as a "news site" a page that throughly goes against all the news published a day earlier! Let's dig a little deeper here. The Manar site screams the headlines saying the Israel admits their responsibility, yet look at this paragraph in the actual article

Israeli Foreign Ministry Spokesman, MARK REGEV said "We can only speculate and there's not enough information it's possible that we have unexploded ornaments in that area, either Palestinian or Israeli it's possible that it's mines that were planted there by Hamas to prevent Israeli military operations in the area, but that's speculation, we don't have enough evidence yet. What we can say is that the Israeli army was not responsible for that terrible tragedy."

notice anything? Thats right, Manar screams a headline claiming the Israelis admit it then puts down in the article that they are denying responsibility! WTF is this writer trying to get a job at CNN? Also when you read the Manar article it makes it look like Garlasco is totally convinced that it was Israel's fault. Yet look at this article from the day before and this quote.But he said that even with this available evidence, some doubt remains.

Some updates on Pali-atrocities and the rising Somalian problem

First off, greetings to readers of Atlas Shrugs and those readers from the Pirate Armada, welcome aboard mateys! Not much time this morning but saw a few articles and wanted to let people know about them since they relate to my previous posts on Somalia and Sderot.

I also wanted to give a nice cup of STFU to the New York Times because I saw this article that legally and logically rips apart their defense of "constitutional rights" to publish security leaks. Here's a part of it that I really loved.

What is meant by the liberty of the press is, that there should be no antecedent restraint upon it; but that every author is responsible when he attacks the security or welfare of the government, or the safety, character, and property of the individual.

Thats a quote from James Wilson, one of the founding fathers and a member of the original Supreme Court. I would venture to say that this guy understood what the founding fathers meant, since he was one, on freedom of the press! New York Slimes..enjoy the cup of STFU.

Now for Sderot and the palianimals, which the MSM is ignoring or worse yet when they do report libeling the IDF. First look this ove r, it's from threatwatch.org which from all the articles by them I've read is pretty non-partisan and just looks at things from the viewpoints of security, analysis and terrorism. Here's the last paragraph from that article that is so telling in it's simplicity.

This article tears apart the claim by the pali's that the IDF was responsible for the deaths of the people on the beach. Here's a few key points
* The shrapnel. Three people wounded in the blast are now hospitalized in Israel. Shrapnel was apparently removed from their bodies, and this is likely to reinforce the conclusion that the explosion was caused by a bomb rather than a shell.
* The crater. Based on photographs, the crater left on the beach by the blast seems to have been made by an explosion from below (a mine), not a hit from above (a shell).
* Intelligence. Israel has amassed considerable information indicating that over the past few weeks, ever since Israeli commandos infiltrated Gaza and killed a rocket-launching cell, Hamas has been systematically mining the northern Gaza beach in an attempt to keep Israeli commandos from landing there again.

I have to ask, yet again, where is the public outcry over Sderot? Where is the UN, CNN and the rest of the MSM. I also have to ask, what are the Israel Defense Forces waiting on? I am a firm believer that any Democraticly elected government has ONE MAIN job and that is the defense of it's citizens. To hell with world opinion, every nation has the right to defend itself. I would say that 38 missles fired into your nation in a 24 hour period gives your country the not only the RIGHT but the DUTY to send a nice hot cup of STFU back at the aggressors.

Now for Somalia. Lets think about this. The continent of Africa is already an oozing cesspool of diseases, famine, and despots. It's the continent that has brought us Darfur and the incidents of "Blackhawk Down". The United States never had a major terroristic strike on our soil UNTIL Al-Qaeda found a safe haven in Afghanistan. Now we have Somalia and the talibanization of that country. Seriously folks, they couldn't watch an effing soccer game! People died because they wanted to watch it! Now if that doesn't just scream to you that Somalia is a taliban waiting to happen then you are truly blind. There is some hope in Somalia, once again thanks to ThreatWatch.org. The hope is a breakaway "statelet" called Somaliland. Too often America is like a large ship, slow to turn. We can not simply wait until the situation in Mogadishu becames the African Taliban to act.

Saw this article and after I got done yelling at my computer (it doesn't do any good, but it's better then Dean screaming on the news). Sderot is a town in Israel that is being shellacked every day by missles and I want to know where the hell the outcry is? Where is "Human Rights Watch" decrying it? Where is the UN? Where is the MSM? Christ on a pogo stick, where is our own government? We should be talking about this left and right in the news, and quite frankly our goverment should be telling Israel that we got their back if they want to defend themselves? Could you imagine the shitstorm of biblical proportions if another country was tossing rockets in the US, Russia, China or even England? I was going to say France also, but lets be honest they would of surrendered by now! There should be a UN security council vote on this right away, and when that does absolutely nothing, which we all know that it will. Then Israel should take off the gloves and swing back and hard. It won't take long to clear out some more land there..a few IAF strikes at anything that looks like it belongs to Hamas should get the message across and fast. Israel is rapidly reaching the point where their action or lack thereof is further empowering the child murdering islamist. They need to give a nice cup of STFU to the pali's and now.

The truth is generally seen, rarely heard-Baltasar Gracian. President Bush has been steadfast in his statements of support for the Iraqi war, it's elected government, and the right of freedom for it's people. Today he stopped "speaking" the truth and showed it by his actions by going to Iraq for a war cabinent meeting. You can get all the details here, here , and here.
Our President has cahone's. Seriously. He went to meet with the cabinent of the Iraqi government and he waited until all members of the government were appointed. He then stopped speaking his support and showed it by going there. Everyone in the media were reporting that he as meeting with his "war cabinent" today in Camp David, he still did that, he just teleconferenced in from Iraq. THAT shows support for the elected government of Iraq and for it's people.
You know going there isn't the issue, and getting there safely is the easy part, no one knew he was there but getting out when people know he's there, thats the part where bravery comes into play. Now of course the real shame, and what you won't see spoken about is that he couldn't tell too many people ahead of time that he was going because let's face it, the government has more holes in it then a strainer. So for safety's sake he had to keep it quiet from the majority of his cabinent.

Update on Geno's steaks

Boohoo a bunch of people don't want to be bothered to learn "cheesesteak wit" in english. Someone start brewing a pot of STFU. I posted a few weeks ago about Geno's Steaks in Philadelphia. The original post was about Joe Vento, who hass owned and operated Geno's since 1966, putting up sign telling patrons to order in English. Now Vento, who's only practicing his first amendment rights is under "investigation" for violating the city's "Fair Practices Ordinance" (by the way, anyone who has done business with the city could tell you how much of a total CROCK that ordinance is).

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Now let's look at a few things here, first Al-Reuters, that bastion of fair and balanced reporting (for examples of what Reuters considered unbiased look here and here oh yeah and here too) calls it an "investigation". Who need's an investigation, there are pictures all over the news of Ventro with the sign, a simple trip to Geno's will confirm what the sign says and that it's hanging up. However, the word "investigation" makes it appear that Ventro might be doing something wrong! Now let's look at the sign itself, it says.

"This is America - when ordering, speak English."

Click the link for the actual sign. Right underneath that there is a very typical sign that says the "the management reserves the right to refuse service to anyone".
Let's take the 1st sign. It doesn't discriminate on basis of color, gender, ethnicity, sexual persuasion or political party. It simply says when ordering speak english. I have never seen a law that prohibits discrimination on speaking a set language (if anyone knows of one let me know, American law please). So if I, an American citizen, relatively well versed in the language here decided to walk up to the counter and say "ewrf werqewgf ewfg" they could/would refuse me service (and maybe call a pysch ward). Under that example no one would be bitching would they? I made the choice to speak gibberish and not be understood and they made the choice to say "next customer". However, because someone is another nationality and makes the CHOICE not to learn basic English the vendor should still have the right to say "next customer". No one has a problem with the sign below concerning management reserving the right but yet when management actually goes ahead and says they will enforce the right there's an issue? Seriously, someone hand these people a cup of STFU!
Now let's look at the group (actually part of city government)who is "investigating". Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations is the one currently in need of a cup of STFU (24 ounce please). Lets read this piece from their home page.

Established in 1951 under the City Charter, the Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR) is the city agency that enforces civil rights laws and deals with all matters of intergroup conflict within the city.

What civil rights laws have been broken? There isn't an "intergroup" conflict either, but rather a group that has it's panties in a bunch because they couldn't be bothered to learn the basics of our language (remember we are talking about ordering a cheesesteak, not reciting Shakespeare). Ventro didn't discriminate against a racial group but rather asked for the courtesy for his English speaking employees to get their orders in English. Once again, here's your cup of STFU.
Now lets look at another section of their home page.

Where does it say that the city government must now enforce the right of people to put undue stress and pressure on it's citizens by making them learn other languages to accept the food orders of customers? For that matter the question of defending someone's right to not speak the language isn't in their charter is it? What about Ventro's rights to defend what he feels is an assault on American culture? What about Ventro's employees rights not to have to fee undue stress about not being able to understand the person in front of them when there are 25 very hungry people waiting on food and complaining in English? Where the hell is the ACLU to defend Ventro's right to run his business his way? If Taco Bell decided that you had to order in Spanish to get food would these same people be complaining? Or would they say that it's the "right of the business"? Here's a nice cup of STFU to all those who think that the Ventro can't run his business his way. They don't want to learn the language then let them avoid his business, at least then the lines might be a little shorter when I go.

Lot of people bash Fox News for being conservative etc (really they are centrist but the rest of the media is so far left that Fox gets tagged as right wing). Whatever your view point on Fox News or the rest of the media, I can damn well tell you that you will never see Katie Couric or any of the folks at CNN go right back after this nut bag (video here) like Julie Banderas did. ***Hat tip to Atlas Shrugged for posting it check her page out!***
To give some background here. The Westboro Baptist church is the home of Fred Phelps and his degenerate pack of inbreds worthy of casting in any Texas Chainsaw movie. These are the disgusting scumbags who go to military funerals and protest the dead soldier and his/her family calling "fag lovers" etc. IMO there is no pit in hell deep enough for these inbred toothless piss poor excuses for human beings. Nice to see someone in the news go right back after them and slam them like deserve it. More and more people are taking note of this hideous form of protest and are standing up to them. Update on Somalia with a cup of STFU

In an earlier post on Somalia I ended it by saying that the world was waiting to see how the new "government" would handle law, would it sharia or goverment that is based on freedoms? The first signs are in, and well folks it ain't good. They can't even watch World Cup Soccer! I mean seriously, it's a damn soccer match? I could understand if they outlawed American Idol, cause well that show sucks, but soccer? By the way, notice something funny in that article? The fact that it's happening in Mogadishu isn't even mentioned until the 7th paragraph! The article is titled "Two die as Hardline Islamists ban World Cup." If the press was so concerned about freedom etc then it should of read "Hardline Islamic GOVERNMENT bans World cup on TV" or "Crazy extreme government takes away peoples freedoms to watch some TV". Both of those headlines would give more of the truth faster.
Now when the hardline nutcases grabbed control of Mogadishu they said they wouldn't impose "Taliban style law" but rather "We do not want to impose sharia law. We will accept the views of the Somalian People ." However, they then started cutting electricity to movie theatersand fired warning shots into the air over anyone watching frigging soccer! They say it corrupts the children?

Two people were wounded Saturday as the militia, which is controlled by a group of religious court leaders, broke up World Cup viewing parties by firing in the air and cutting electricity to theaters. Where was the followup questions? I realize that Somalia has had almost 20 years of war there, but the world can not stand still while a new taliban style goverment forms. There's been a lot of talking heads on tv lately saying it's time to reduce troop levels in Iraq to prepare for our departure from there. Most if not all of them, referrence the loss of life and how we shouldn't be there etc. This all reminds me of a time a sitting US President listen to the polls and decided to cut our losses instead of making the tougher choice. Sure we all remember "Black Hawk Down" but there's more to the tale, lets look at Slick Willy Clinton and Somalia. Let's go in the way back machine and take a look at a timeline of events.

December 1992 George Bush Sr. orders 25k troops into Somalia to bail out the incompetent UN "peacekeepers" there. He states that this will not be a long term engagement
May 1993 Clinton turns over control of the operation to UN forces and reduces US military involvement. US troops now number about 1200 military and 3000 support.
August 1993 Clinton at the bequest of the UN sends in Task Force Ranger led by Major General Garrison cause the UN forces are getting beat like rented mules. This task force is sent in to capture a warlord named Aidid believed to be the one behind most of the attacks on the "peacekeepers" (damn I have a hard time calling UN folks peacekeepers).
September 1993 Jimmy Carter starts negotiating with Aidid on behalf of the Clinton administration WITHOUT ANYONE BOTHERING TO TELL THE TROOPS THERE.
September 1993 Clinton administration offical REFUSES the request for armored vehicles by General Powell.
October 3,1993 18 soldiers are killed and 84 wounded during a battle to catch Aidid (you know the guy that was in negotiations with Carter).
October 7, 1993 Clinton decides to cut his losses and sends in enough troops to protect everyone but promises to have them all out by March.
March 25, 20k American troops pull out and leave behind a UN force made of African and Asian forces.
1995 Aidid dies.
June 5th 2006 Islamic millitants claim Somalia and declare Sharia law. The Islamist's began their rise to power during the power vacuum that started when US troops pulled out in 1993.

So while we are celebrating the death of a brutally sadistic terrorist in Iraq, let us not fall prey to the temptation to "cut and run" as so many dimmicrats will want. Now the region, and the rest of the world, are waiting to see what position the new government is going to take there on terrorism. Remember no attacks occured on US soil UNTIL Osama and his group of demons had a country to base themselves out of. Somalia is our lesson on why we can't cut and run from Iraq, I hope that when W is talking to his old man that they talk about these events.

Wind energy

So today I was catching up on some news and viewpoints over at hotair.com and while reading some of the dimmycrat responses to Ann Coulter and Zarqawi, I thought to myself, damn the left should be called "hot air"! Then of course I thought, "if only we could harness the wind outta the mouths of the left for good, we wouldn't need oil!". This made me go research some alternative energy info and I, in (dis)honor of Ted "can't drive 55" Kennedy started with wind power and came across this.

Report: Enough wind offshore to electrify America.

Seems that according to recent study we could generate up to 900,000 megawatts of electricity from offshore wind plants. Now don't get me wrong, I not an eco-nut, nor do I prescribe to Al "created the internet" Gore's viewpoints on global warming. However, recently I have been taking more of an interest in alternative energy, even going so far as to invest in a little company called Distributed Energy to put my money where my mouth is as well as make a little money. Nor am I proposing government mandates on utility companies to get a certain % of their energy from "alternative resources". I believe in free market capitilism and minimal govt interference. However I think that it's time we start looking at more things like this since technology and $70.00+ a barrell oil has leveled the playing field some. I also factor in that with events in the middle east and South America we need to get more energy on our own and less from despots and crackpots.
So, having said all the above I was looking into this wind energy stuff and it looks like there are some great opportunites off the New England coast, specifically up in Cape Cod. There was some press on this that Teddy Kennedy was trying to kill this plan for awhile but even he backed down (though no reports on whether he will sit by the wind farms and increase the output simply by doing his 2nd best thing, orating. [we all know driving is his best thing]). I think that projects like this one are damn good things with oil being so high and it's flow unsteady. Go "google" wind power and look things up, alternative energy isn't just something that tree hugging, tied died, sandal wearing hippies advocate anymore. Hell, if you see a good company that's making a profit on it, invest in it and make some money yourself.

Ok, so unless you've been living under a rock you know that our boys introduced al-Zarqawi the other day to the business end of 2 500lb bombs. Oh snap, I forgot, al-Zawahri has been living under a rock and sent out this statement praising Zarqi. Well what also is going on is the counter-terrorism version of shock and awe. Here's some other raids etc going on that you might not know about if you drink from the fountain of MSM.

Israel got one of the leaders of the PRC, ya know the group that shoots rockets into Israel on a regular basis.
17 other raids occurred in Iraq collecting a "treasure trove of information".
Jordan intel helped us arrange the meeting of a bomb and al-Zarqawi
Iraqi forces trained by US soldiers started cracking down/killing/capturing terrorist cells in Iraq on their own.
More raids are coming based on the the intel captured.

These are just the things out there in the news now. You can darn well bet that there are other things cooking that won't be talked about until they are done. All in all some very real and positive movement in Iraq that goes in hand with their completing the appointments of the final minister positions. Of course some of the more unhinged dimmicrats and others out there in the press are already trying to lessen the impacts of these developments.

Pete Stark a dimmicrat from Cali called this a "stunt to cover Bush's rear". Seriously why would Bush be trying to "cover" his rear? He isn't running for re-election and he's not actively campaigning for any repubs at the moment.
Michael Berg, whose son was BEHEADED by Zarqawi calls this a tragedy. I just got to comment on this part here. Now a beheading like what was done to Nick Berg isn't like something you see in a movie, done with a clean stroke. The reality of it is that it would of been more accurate to say that he had his head SAWED off. Yet this guys dad thinks it's a tragedy that we killed this guy. I'm a dad, if I was in Michael Berg's position my only complaint would of been that I didn't get to drop the bomb myself.

There are also talking heads all over the place saying that this isn't going to change much. Seriously Zarqawi was turned in by his own people, Iraqi's were dancing in the streets, and we conducted a buttload of other raids in conjunction with this cracking down on cells. Also Iraqi forces are conducting more and more raids on their own. This is all good, no change that, great news! There is a conspiracy going on out there, but it's not a right wing one like you might hear about but rather one by the left and the main stream press to portray things in the most negative light possible. Don Henley was right about Dirty laundry sells.

Ann Coulter and the victim spokepeople

Ok, if you aren't up to speed on this then where have you been? Her new book is out now and in it Coulter took a shot in a way only she can at some of the widows from 9-11 (among other things/groups she took shots at). I'm really torn here. I so TOTALLY get the message she's trying to put out there yet I worry about the tone drowning out the message. Look here for her interview with Matt Lauer.
I do see her point, the liberal left has been throwing up these spokespeople for their "cause" that are victims. They expect us to not combat them, to not criticize them because they lost someone and that the loss makes them above reproach and immune from criticism. How come Howard Dean isn't all over the airwaves saying things exactly like these people are, what about Kerry or Kennedy? They don't because when push comes to shove they can't defend their positions, but they have these mouth pieces do it in hopes that we won't critique what they say due to their "victim status". I so totally get Coulters point. She's sick and tired of people not being able to say something about what these mouthpieces say because of some tragedy. Coulter is totally right about that. It's time that people stand up and say "Ok you lost someone, sorry for your loss, but that makes you a foreign policy specialist deserving to be on national TV how?". Seriously, I lost someone in 911 where's my shot on Hardball with Mathews? The fact that these people lost someone in the war or in 911 doesn't make their opinion any more sacrosanct then yours/mine or any other American citizen. We all have the right to critique and question their comments and motives.

However, having said all that I have to wonder if Coulter didn't go overboard with the rhetoric? I have such torn feelings on this. Maybe she was saying it the way she did so that she would get on more TV shows and in more newspapers to push these very important points to a wider audience? Maybe she was especially acidic just to sell more books? Hell maybe she hopes the controversy will generate more interest and more people will wake up to the "Culture of Victimization" that the democrats espouse?

I think that from what I have seen and read that she makes a lot of good points in this book and I will buy it (Hey Ann, if you read this send me a signed copy!!). Ok got some time to kill this morning before heading out to work so I did some reading of different blogs and articles while drinking my morning coffee. After reading some things I wanted to offer a nice hot cop of STFU to some people. Here's some recipients:

The Main Stream Media. I saw this article and it called some things to my attention that I hadn't really noticed. Sammon's proves something I've been saying for awhile. Bush is doing a much better job and getting more done then the press gives him credit for and while I don't agree with him on immigration he's not getting any credit. History will remember him better then he's portrayed now provided the assault on higher education by the moonbats is repelled.
Talk about "culture of corruption". This is the guy who started bitching about Bush bringing back the draft while HE was the one who proposed the bill. Now he's sucking at Castro's teat? On a side note, Atlas is hot, smart and a damn good blogger she's a must read imho.
Thank god there is still some sense in California. Bilbray won in Cali. This is the race I blogged about the other day where the Dimmycrat contender was telling people they didn't need to be legal to vote. Of course the press is saying it's a narrow victory but the way I look at it is this, Bilbray won by 5% and there was 5% also going to someone from the Minutemen.
Gay marriage. A lot of people have been saying this really isn't an issue to most Americans (and I was starting to believe them) but I came across this article ( and this one) that shows that a hell of a lot more people care about it then you would think. Personally I don't care and would be fine with it, but then I also think polygamy should be legal and I'm not even a mormon or really religous!

Where the hell are the reports of daily rocket attacks at Israel? Personally I feel we need to take the handcuffs off Israel and let them do what they need to do to defend their country. God knows if someone was shooting rockets over our border all the time we would be responding pretty damn fast and harsh towards the aggressor.

Ok, there's an election going on in California today. The election has some dude named Brian Bilbray going against Francine Busby. Normally this isn't something I would be blogging about but the simple fact that Busby was caught on tape telling illegal immigrants they “You don't need papers for voting.” and that she's still in the running boggles my mind more then trying to figure out if John Kerry voted for something or didn't vote for something! I mean seriously, can you imagine the manic moonbat moans that would be coming outta the left if say, Frist said that? Imagine Jeb Bush telling people that during an election, it would of been headline news across the world. What the hell is in the water out there and can we bottle it? Either the dimmicrats are so confident that they can win no matter what that they can randomly try to encourage voter fraud, or they just think Californians are stupid. Some were saying this election would be a referendum on the Republicans..but I think that if Busby wins it's more of a referendum on California voters.

Ok I saw this on Patrick Kennedy and I spit coffee all over my screen.

Fresh from rehab, Rep. Patrick Kennedy said yesterday he wants to be treated like an African-American from Washington if and when he gets charged for crashing his car on Capitol Hill.

Um say what? Wait, did you mean that you wanted to get tested for DUI, arrested and have your car impounded when you flunked? No this is what happened.

Police labor union officials said earlier that officers were told not to give Kennedy a sobriety test after the mishap. Kennedy said Thursday police drove him home afterward but that he did not "ask for any special consideration." Asked if he thought he got preferential treatment, Kennedy said, "That's up for the police to decide, and I'm going to cooperate fully with them."
The police incident report includes an observation that Kennedy appeared to have been drinking and his ability was impaired.
"At no time before the incident did I consume any alcohol," Kennedy said in a statement Thursday. Greg Baird, acting chairman of the U.S. Capitol Police union, has called for an inquiry into how the incident was handled. Capitol Police said Friday they were also looking into whether the evidence supports traffic charges against Kennedy.The incident report said Kennedy was cited for three infractions -- failure to keep a proper lane, unreasonable speed and failure to give full time and attention to the operation of a vehicle. According to the report, Sgt. Kenneth Weaver said he saw Kennedy's vehicle -- a green Ford Mustang convertible -- "traveling at a high rate of speed in a construction zone and also swerving into the wrong lane of travel" with its lights off.

WTF. Oh wait, Mr. Patrick Kennedy means AFTER all the preferential treatment he wants to be treated as a normal african american citizen! I mean seriously folks, if anyone who reads this blog had the same thing happen (and to put it in perspective here's what he was did)

Weaver said Kennedy's vehicle hit a curb and swerved back into the wrong lane. He said he was driving east and used "evasive maneuvers in order to avoid a collision" with Kennedy's car.
The officer said he turned around and pursued Kennedy, whose car did not stop but did slow, "finally stopping after colliding head-on with a vehicle barrier." The report said when Weaver approached Kennedy he noticed his "eyes were red and watery, speech was slightly slurred, and upon exiting his vehicle, his balance was unsure."

So let's think about this. He hit a curb, swerved into the wrong lane and a cop had to act like an F-16 pilot and engage in "evasive maneuvers in order to avoid a collision", then he refused to stop and pull over and only stopped after hitting a barrier! Then he got a ride home from the cops and was never had his blood alcohol level tested. Yet he wants to be treated like an "african american from Washington". Here's what else is in that article.

"If you are suspected of driving under the influence, you get arrested," noted Officer Quintin Peterson of the Metropolitan Police Department.
Kennedy, who has a history of substance abuse and depression, said that "10 of the 12 police officers said they did not smell any alcohol on my breath."

Know what that means, it means 2 officers smelled alcohol on his breath. Guess what happens if 12 officers show up at your accident and 2 of them smell booze on you...that's right go directly to jail, do not pass go. I think the cops wanted to do that but maybe he pulled his "get outta jail free card" on them. Maybe something like this happened.

Police Officer: Mr. Kennedy, your breath smells of alcohol and you hit a vehicle barrier. We have to take you in.

Patrick Kennedy: Duuude, I didn't drink much, only enough shots to chase my Ambien you can't take me in. I'm a sennnatur beshides my old man killed a chick while driving and he didn't get arrested.

Police Officer: Oh your that Kennedy, well have a nice night, lemme get one of these other officers to stop trying to catch criminals and drive you home.

Yeah he wants to be treated like everyone else. Sure, oh yeah. If you believe that then maybe you should go down to Washington and try it for yourself, bet the results will be much different for you.

Should we worry more about South America?

Saw this and wanted to update my previous post. Seems Garcia won, thank God (am I allowed to say that without the ACLU coming after me?). There might be hope for the southern continent yet.

Today I was reading this article and started thinking about the continent to the south of us and what the geo-political mess down there means for the United States. Too often we think of South America and we think of Mexico (Mexico is really part of North America) and the immigration problem. Occasionally we may think of Chavez and Venezuela when he does or says something nutty, but I think we are so focused on Iraq and the war on terror that we are missing some things down there that should be of great interest to us. First lets take a look at Chavez and what he's been doing lately.

Threatens to sell his f-16's Iran. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend is probably his thinking.
He starts to upgrade his military.
Whine and moaned that he can't buy military equipment that contains US technology.
Threatened to join with Iran on nuclear research and development.
Issued threats that he would stop selling oil to America.

All in all, we could look at this as just the rantings of another South American dictator and ignore his rantins, but if we do that I think we are really missing a much larger potential issue. Let's look at Chavez's neighbor and fellow socialist, Evo Morales. He went ahead recently and nationalized Bolivias national gas industry. However, Morales was really nice about it, he gave all the companies that spent millions down there 6 months to renegotiate with Bolivia before he just takes it away from them and he allows them to keep 18% of what they produce instead of the earlier agreed on 50% (swell guy isn't he?). What's also worrisome is this comment by Morales.

Morales said the gas fields were "just the beginning, because tomorrow it will be the mines, the forest resources and the land"

When you look at the map of South America, and factor in the amount of gas and oil reserves between the 2 countries you are faced with a potential for a very scary situation. Luckily others have seen this too and we can only hope that while our Governments attention is on the middle east we don't lose focus on areas much closer to home.

Seem's the UK Times wanted to put forth an article on Haditha and well, they really wanted to slant things to show the alleged barbarity of what happened there. What better way to do that then to show a picture of people murdered by TERRORISTS and claim it was done by the Marines! At times I wonder why Bush's approval ratings are down with:

The economy running on all cylinders.
No terrorism attacks on US soil.
Unemployment is about as low as it can go.
Taxes have been cut and the deficit is going down.

Then I remember that the MSM doesn't want him to have high ratings, so they will slant things whatever way they can to try to paint the publics picture of him. Thank god for the blogosphere to catch the glaring lies.

Toronto terror bust

17 terror suspects and their jamboree camp were busted today. Officials say they were trying to acquire 3 metric TONS of ammonium nitrate. That's 3 times the amount that took out the Fed building in Oklahoma, so these boy's weren't playing. This is what the article says about the "suspects"

"The men arrested yesterday are Canadian residents from a variety of backgrounds. For various reasons they appeared to have become adherents of a violent ideology inspired by al-Qaida," said Luc Portelance, the assistant director of operations with CSIS _ Canada's spy agency.

Makes it sound like a bunch of kids gone bad but not directly linked to al-Qaida they just like the bomb side of al-Qaida's dogma. However, the Toronto Star list's their names and well it seems it might be more than just "adherents of a violent ideology".

The judge's reasoning confounded Amy Miller, legal director for the Nebraska chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union.

"I have never heard of anything like this before," she said.

Seems the guy was tall enough to have sexual contact with a 12 year old over the span of months but is too short to goto jail, I'm still speechless. That is even more brillant judicial manipulation then the chewbacca defense! The more I think about this the more I want to know how tall the judge is, and can we send him to jail instead of this pervert. I was just making the rounds to some different websites and have a few random rants here.

C.an'tB.eSerious news report. So the intrepid reporters at CBS have come up with a new groundbreaking report! These are the same people that brought you MemoGate and lessons in headline altering. Now we have a reporter wondering why their aren't "more protests" to the war in Iraq? I think there is plenty of protests going on about the war. What we aren't seeing is more protesting of the behadings, tortures in Syria of Kurds, or fake rape photos to infuriate the people in the middle east? Where's the 24/7 press coverage of people being killed because they showed a damn cartoon of Mohemmad? Here are the cartoons. It's funny how the press will scream about freedom of the press, and freedom of speech unless they risk inflaming Islam and it's religion of peace culture. It's really funny that the largest media outlet railing against the entire cartoon furor was south park and Comedy Central editted that (tho not the shots of Jesus shitting on everyone). Isn't it ironic that freedom of the press and speech only relates to bashing christianity and republicans, try bashing Islam and see what happens in the news.

This is a program I can get behind, and in fact will be utilizing to make Arlen Specter realize my discontent with his support of amnesty. It really get my blood boiling the more I read about the senate's plan on immigration and it makes me envious of the good people of Alabama and their Senator Jeff Sessions (his grades on immigration).

Oh yeah, cross reuter's off the list of "unbiased media". I'm sure they won't report this.

Murtha and his Haditha proclamations be damned! Their are some tough ass marines out there. While the early "reporting" on Haditha looks damning (and I for one want the book thrown at these guys IF they are found guilty in a court, not the newspapers or Murtha's mind)
we have to remember that this is an incident not the entire tale of the USMC.

Here are a few things that the Marines haven't been "accused" of in Iraq and maybe are some of the things that the MSM and Murtha should go accuse them of!

I just think it's important to remember that we can't prejudge based upon the media nor the comments of one Moonbat. I guess "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't count if the media decides you are guilty.

Joseph Vento, owner of Geno's Cheesteaks, here in Philly has made a stand. Seems here that Joey is tired of people just pointing at things and grunting when they order. I ahve to admit there's been times I've been there that my mouth was watering so bad I almost lost control of my ability to speak but I've always been able to mumble the words enough to get my point across. For the last 6 months there has been a sign at Geno's that says

Joseph Vento, whose grandparents came from Italy, insists that customers at Geno's Steaks order in English. "Why should I have to bend?" he says.

He's even gone so far as to drive around the neighborhood using the PA system on his car denouncing the local business who hire illegal immigrants. I gotta say, I'm impressed, the area Geno's is in, while known as "little italy" is home to thousands of hispanics and Joey here is running the risk of ticking off a lot of customers. However, he's making a stand on what he thinks is right, and I for one support him. Think I will show my support by running down there real soon to grab a "cheesteak with".

Sometimes you gotta take matters into your own hands

Just read this, and I've got to say I'm impressed. The Minutemen are not only talking the talk but they are walking the walk. Illegal immigration is one of the biggest challenges to the long term health of our country facing us today. In an article from 2004 the costs were 10.5 billion in California alone!

Some would say this is just people crying wolf and that it's really a battle between "hard line conservatives" and "compasionate conservatives".
It's a much bigger issue then pitting hard liners vs. compassionate people and it's affecting alot more then just the southwestern states. People need to wake up to some of the underlying issues surrounding the immigration problem.

Massive drain on our healthcare system.
Wage deflation, there are no jobs that American's won't do, only wages we won't work for.
Security issues, both terrorism related and the idea that if we grant people a free pass on breaking the law once they are more willing to do it again.
Reconquista or Aztlan The land in question isn't some worthless stretch of land, but rather California, Arizona, New Mexico and Texas! Sure, we spend trillions of dollars building it up and then we will give it back to you! These lands are so important to the well being of the USA that it staggers the mind. We are talking about our western ports, oil fields, and an incredible amount of food production.

What's causing all of this? Well, simply put it's effective and INEFFECTIVE political leadership.
The effective leadership is being done by Vicente Fox who realizes his country is cannot support all of it's population (10% of Mexico's population has illegally immigrated into our country). He has gone so far as to have the Mexican government help people on their breaking and entering in the country. The ineffective leadership is being done by our own United States Senate. The Senate bill is a travesty, it is basically an amnesty bill for 10 million or so criminals who have broken into our country, stolen identities, and some have secret plans to try to take over key pieces of our nation. I think on this weekend that we are honoring our veterans we have to take a moment to think about folks like the Minutemen who are trying to also protect the freedoms and values that have made our country so great.

Now the person starting all this hoopla is a person by the name of Karen Todorov who said in an email to Michigan teachers

"I have promised teachers that we would delete the use of American [when we are really ONLY referring to the United States] from the GLCEs (grade level content expectations) so that everything is consistent and correct as soon as it was feasible."

Now I don't know about anyone else, but I refer to myself as an American and I think that if someone referred to an "american" in another country they would presume that the person being talked about was from the USA, not Cuba/Bolivia/Canada etc! What we've got here is yet another ivory tower assault on the things that this country was built on. Isn't it a bit stupid to try to change 200+ years of recorded history, yet that attempt is going on as we speak and this is just one example of it (more to come in a later post on that). There is a strong sentiment of extreme liberalism, political over-correctness and outright socialism running through our school systems these days. For the last few decades it has been primarily focused on colleges across the nation, but those students have graduated and moved out into the world. Now it is starting to affect different school systems. It's a systematic approach to destroy the foundations of our country's origins.

1. 1st weaken the elementary/primary education systems by restriction of things that can be taught there and releasing teachers/education system from any responsibility for the knowledge of the children taught.
2. These kids graduate and come to college's basically with no ability for free thought or logic skills.
3. Imprint on these kids an extreme brand/mix of socialism/liberalism. Imparting into them an almost guilt at being citizens of the most prosperous land in the world. Teach them that anything that is good for America is bad for the world and must be stopped. Tell them that their shortcomings aren't "their fault" but rather the fault of "the system" and then set them back out in the world.
4. These students become the teachers/lawyers/politicians of tomorrow and will pervert the faiths and ideals the nation was built on further weakening the foundations of the nation.
5. Repeat as needed.
